Elementary School Summer Camp
From July 21–25, Cedar Park Robotics (FRC Team 3663) hosted its first-ever Elementary Summer Camp, expanding our mission to inspire and educate the next generation of engineers, programmers, and innovators. This new camp welcomed about 50 students in third through sixth grade for a week of fun, hands-on STEM learning.
Throughout the week, campers built and programmed EV3 LEGO Mindstorm robots, gaining foundational skills in engineering, problem-solving, and programming. Older students put their skills to the test in a robot competition, tackling a strategic game designed by CPR team members.
In addition to robotics, students participated in a variety of exciting STEM activities, including creative challenges, experiments, and team-building games — all designed to spark curiosity and excitement about science and technology.
This camp was made possible by the hard work of our CPR student counselors, who led each activity with enthusiasm, patience, and a passion for mentoring. Their guidance created a supportive and engaging environment where every camper could learn and thrive.
We’re proud to have launched this new program and look forward to continuing to grow our outreach to younger students in the years to come.
Indiana Robotics Invitational
From July 10–12, Cedar Park Robotics (FRC Team 3663) traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana, to compete in the prestigious Indiana Robotics Invitational (IRI), hosted at Lawrence North High School. This highly competitive offseason event brings together some of the top FRC teams from around the world for two days of intense, high-level gameplay and collaboration.
We were honored to be invited to participate alongside about 60 elite teams. Throughout the event, CPR competed in a series of qualification matches, demonstrating our robot’s performance, strategy, and teamwork on a national stage.
Beyond the matches, IRI offered an amazing opportunity for our students to connect with other top-tier teams, share ideas, and gain experience that will fuel our growth heading into the next FRC season.
We’re incredibly proud of how our team represented Cedar Park Robotics at IRI and are grateful to the event organizers, volunteers, and host school for making this event possible. We returned home inspired, energized, and more determined than ever to push the boundaries of what CPR 3663 can achieve.
Middle School Summer Camp
From June 23–27, Cedar Park Robotics (FRC Team 3663) held its third annual middle school summer camp, welcoming about 30 students. Campers worked with EV3 and XRP robots, learning Python, Java, and CAD while building and programming their own robots. The week concluded with exciting competitions, all led and mentored by CPR team members.
From June 23–27, Cedar Park Robotics (FRC Team 3663) hosted its third annual Middle School Summer Camp, continuing our mission to inspire and educate the next generation of engineers, programmers, and innovators. This year, we welcomed approximately 30 enthusiastic campers, divided into two groups based on experience and skill level. The week was filled with hands-on learning, creativity, and friendly competition — all guided by a dedicated team of about 10 student counselors from CPR.
The first group, with around 20 students, worked with EV3 LEGO Mindstorms robots. Throughout the week, campers dove into Python programming and robot design, learning to build and customize their bots to complete a game objective created by CPR team members weeks in advance. The week culminated in a high-energy competition on Friday, where students put their skills to the test, programming their robots to outperform their peers in a strategic and fun game setting.
The second group, composed of about 10 more advanced students, took on the challenge of working with XRP (Experiential Robotics Platform) robots. These campers were introduced to Java programming and OnShape CAD software, developing both coding and digital design skills. Over the course of the week, they designed, built, and programmed robots tailored to specific tasks, culminating in a final Friday competition that showcased their technical abilities and creativity.
This camp would not have been possible without the incredible effort of our CPR student counselors, who took the lead in mentoring, teaching, and guiding campers throughout the week. Their knowledge, patience, and enthusiasm helped ensure every participant had a meaningful and engaging experience.
As a tradition now three years strong, this summer camp continues to serve as a foundational step for students interested in STEM. Many campers eventually go on to join our FRC team when they become eligible, making this program an essential part of building the future of Cedar Park Robotics.
We look forward to continuing this tradition for many summers to come.
Cedar Park Church Block Party
On June 28th, Cedar Park Robotics (FRC Team 3663) joined the Cedar Park Church Block Party for the first time, showcasing our 2025 competition robot and engaging the Bothell community with games, demos, and STEM outreach. We connected with families, shared the mission of FIRST, and look forward to returning in future years.
On June 28th, Cedar Park Robotics (FRC Team 3663) proudly participated in the Cedar Park Church Block Party — a vibrant community celebration held in honor of the upcoming Fourth of July. Open to the entire Bothell community, the event was filled with games, food, and activities for all ages. For the first time, CPR had its own booth at the celebration, using the opportunity to showcase our team, spread awareness about FIRST Robotics, and engage with local families.
At our booth, we displayed our 2025 competition robot, giving live demonstrations as it scored PVC “coral” on a reef, impressing attendees with the precision and engineering behind our work. The interactive element brought STEM to life for many visitors and sparked great conversations about robotics, teamwork, and innovation.
For the younger guests, we brought a custom claw machine game, which quickly became a crowd favorite. As kids lined up to play, CPR team members shared more about the world of FRC and how our team operates both on and off the field.
Throughout the evening, our team connected with families, community members, and future engineers, promoting STEM education and the mission of FIRST. It was a fantastic opportunity to increase local awareness of robotics and inspire the next generation.
We are grateful to Cedar Park Church for welcoming us into this joyful event and look forward to returning in the future to continue building strong community connections through STEM outreach.
Northshore Christian Academy Outreach
Cedar Park Robotics (Team 3663) visited Northshore Christian Academy to showcase our 2025 robot and introduce students to the world of FRC. We demonstrated the REEFSCAPE game, shared how our team operates, and gave attendees a chance to see and interact with the robot up close—all while proudly representing Cedar Park Christian School.
On May 31st, Cedar Park Robotics (Team 3663) brought the excitement of FRC to Northshore Christian Academy, joining Teams 2930 Sonic Squirrels and 4911 Cyberknights for a dynamic showcase. We demonstrated our 2025 game, REEFSCAPE, explaining how our robot scores by placing PVC pipes (coral) and large kickballs (algae) into scoring zones. Our team engaged with students and families, answering questions about how we design, build, and program our robot. We also took the opportunity to promote Cedar Park Christian School and give attendees a closer look at how our team operates. It was a fun and interactive event, with plenty of hands-on moments as we ran the robot around and let people see it in action.
WestFest
At this year’s WestFest, Cedar Park Robotics wowed the community with live robot demos, fun mini games, and STEM-focused activities for kids. It was a great chance to showcase our team, spark curiosity, and connect with families through hands-on robotics fun!
On May 23rd, Cedar Park Robotics (Team 3663) joined the fun at WestFest, our all-school carnival, showcasing this year’s robot and running mini-games for kids. We had a blast sharing how the robot works, answering questions, and watching kids’ faces light up as they saw it in action. More than just showing off, WestFest was about connecting with our community, sharing our passion, and creating smiles. It reminded us why we love what we do—building connections through fun, learning, and teamwork.
